Study Away General Information Sessions


All applicants are required to attend a Study Away Information Session led by the Rinker Center for Study Away and International Education prior to submitting an application to study away.

  • You may start the application process, however your application will not be complete until this requirement has been satisfied. Once you have attended a Study Away Advising Workshop, the study away staff will check off this step within 5 business days after you start a program application.
  • You only need to attend one session even if you are apply to multiple study away experiences in the same year (i.e. year, semester, MayX, or summer)
  • All students must attend a session even if you attended one last year.
  • If you are currently studying away from campus, and are unable to complete this requirement before submitting an application, please email to request a waiver of this requirement. You will need to complete an alternate advising step later if your application is approved.

Topics include: eligibility, application tips, program offerings, deadlines and important dates, etc.
